BEERWAH STATUE

this saturday Mill Park, Beerwah, is the scene for the annual Hate Day,
where stones are thrown at a statue of Horus Cutlass, who massacred the
citizens of campbellville during a surprise attack in 1854. be there or be
square.
----------
let he who is without stones cast the first statue.

I believe this statue to be the original garden gnome, being made of plaster
of paris and tassstefully painted in red, green & blue.
Being a full scale replica of Horace, i fell it would be a most suitable
adornment to the Sierra, thus vastly increasing that establishment's
popularity. It would be a worthy competitor for the Big Mower so
ostentatiously displayed on the highway.
It would seal Beerwah's claim to be the cultural capital of the Sunshine
Coast.
Help preserve this priceless heritage!
----------
moving the statue from Mill Park would vandalise a key cultural site. there
is a long history behind Mill park, and when i remember it i will tell you.
----------
where is Mill Park?
----------
Mill park is a broad expanse of semi-wild land given over to rest and
recreation together with wild-life habitation. there are many rest areas and
children's play areas, and several copses of trees of many different hues.
from east to west Mill park covers the entire acreage from the rail line to
simpson street, at its southerly edges it reaches to a line level with
Lydia's hair salon and in its remote northern borders touches a latitude
corresponding with 3 houses along simpson st after the chinese restaurant.
----------
please advice if u wish to tour through the Mill Park eco-system.
arrangements can be made with local authorities and supplies can be
purchased in town. guides are available and the tour usually sets out from
Lydia's 6am sharp
----------
what a scenic vista! no doubt red deer graze contentedly in this scene of
pastoral bliss and a pantheon of statues of Greek Gods line the walkway to
the palm conservatory?
----------
some people claim to have seen red deer. at the northern end there is a
large tree hollowed out at the base leaving a large enclosed space [about
1.5 metres each way] in which numerous animals could congregate.
no palms, but many other deciduous trees. no statues [apart from
heathcutter's], but some very stylistic swings.
----------
some day someone who lives in Beerwah will find a reference to all this on
Google. they will be severely non-plussed i think..
----------
We've got to make it so absurd that only a fool would take it seriously.
----------
that rules in most of beerwah. better to include unusual metaphors.
anything less than 100% literal turns sunshine coast people off
----------
get to work on it. we need this finished before
nuclear war breaks out. the true history of beerwah must be recorded for
posterity.
----------
my spies tell me they will be nuked
----------
who will be?
----------
the baghdaddies not the beerwahians
----------
i know, but the rain of sand will wreck the beerwah climate. no pineapple,
cocaine, or jaboticaba will grow there again. it will turn into a dry gulch
gully. the transformation from current metropolis will be shocking
----------
quite so. if i remember correctly, the 'jap line' ran through 1km north of
beerwah rail station.
----------
not correct - boozerville was part of the Aust "heartland" to be defended at
all costs.
----------
not correct - boozerville was part of the Aust "heartland" to be defended at
all costs.
----------
it did a loop to include boozerville and the landed gentry at maleny. 10,000
kanakas were assigned to the defence. lucky the japs didnt come, as they all
got drunk on pineapple whisky
----------
actually you've never explained the precise location of boozerville.
is it the hilly land between maleny and conondale?
----------
some things are best left to the imagination & soft lighting
----------
boozerville is sounding like the the golden isles of the hesperides of
plato's imagination
----------
some see in boozerville metaphors of reality. it is a land that has more to
it than initial inspection suggests
